This National Volunteers Week (1–7 June) were celebrating ordinary people who do extraordinary things for us. Meet Mike & Jan King who have been fundraising for 25 years (bit.ly/1oMOYwi). Living in inland Derbyshire for most of their lives, they never anticipated calling for a lifeboat – but that changed a few years ago when their yacht got into trouble of the coast off Anglesey. RNLI Moelfre Lifeboat crew launched to their rescue. The pair are now involved with fundraising for Moefre’s new station appeal. #volunteersweek
