This Saturday is the 25th of October. I will be working a Josh Wilson concert with Citizen way in Tulsa, Oklahoma. 11 years ago, in 2003; was also Saturday the 25th of October.... the day of the tragic car accident that claimed the lives of my two youngest children; it was almost more than I could bear. I thank God for his mercy and grace that spared my life, and gave me the strength do endure, with the peace described in Philippians 4:7: And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. That was the catalyst for my personal ministry with Compassion International, and I feel so privileged to be a part of Gods mighty work. Satan gets no glory from the deaths of my children, instead I hope he feels the sting of defeat with every event I work, and every child I help get a sponsor. Isaiah 61:2 to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; 3 to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.
