This Sat’s talk, 20 July 10am. Tips And Tricks For Poultry Keepers - Timothy Tweets This talk aims to skill you up on starting, housing, feeding and maintaining your own backyard flock of happy hens. Tim will also be covering breeding your own versus buying new stock. There’ll be some different breeds to inspect and Tim will cover their different pros and cons as backyard chooks for the Northern Rivers. Tim describes himself as a certified chook-nut; having gained this qualification by attending National Poultry Shows and spending years foraging for knowledge with tropical breeders, behavioural biologists, community gardeners and visiting chicken historians plus putting this all into practise with some years running his own flocks.
