This Tampa Bay Rays game is something to watch. David Price has gotten hurt a little bit but has been keeping his cool throughout this game and works out of the sixth inning and we go to the bottom of the sixth with the Mariners leading 4-1. Evan Longoria leads off the inning and he hits a double and the Rays have something going. Wil Myers comes to the plate and here is the first pitch...SMACK! AND A HIGH FLY BALL! HIT DEEP TO LEFT! THAT BALL IS STILL CARRYING AND IT IS GONE! TWO RUN HOME RUN FOR WIL MYERS AND THE RAYS ARE BACK IN THE GAME AT 4-3! Price goes seven innings and the bullpen holds up their end but in the eighth, Ryan Roberts strikes out with the bases loaded and we go to the ninth. Joel Peralta gets a 1-2-3 in the top half and we go to the bottom. Ben Zobrist leads off and here comes the pitch...SMACK! AND A FLY BALL HIT TO RIGHT! AND THAT BALL IS.......STILL IN PLAY AS IT COMES BACK IN PLAY! ZOBRIST ROUNDS SECOND AND HEADS TO THIRD WITH A TRIPLE AS HE JUST MISSES A HOME RUN (very very close on the replay). Matt Joyce is at the plate down 0-2 and here is the offering...(contact) AND HIT UP THE MIDDLE AND BASE HIT! ZOBRIST WILL SCORE AS JOYCE DRIVES IN THE RUN TYING THE GAME AT 4-4! Longoria at the plate and shoots this one into left! Ball goes all the way to the wall and Joyce rounds second heading to third as Longoria goes to second with a double! Myers is intentionally walked and now bases loaded, nobody out and here comes Jason Bourgeois the new addition to the Rays. Takes strike one but gets back in the box waiting for the next pitch. Here it is...SMACK! AND FLY BALL HIT TO RIGHT! CHAVEZ WILL WATCH THIS ONE SAIL OVER HIS HEAD AND RAYS WIN! RAYS WIN! They snap a six game losing streak and do it in dramatic fashion with a walk off win! Great to see them come alive in the final moment with clutch hitting and hopefully this is a turning point for the whole team! Final game of this series is tomorrow night and Alex Cobb will get the call and it will be great to see him back on the mound. GO RAYS!
