This Teacher Gets It! via - Broken Arrow Ledger Posted: Friday, September 20, 2013 3:44 pm By John Ferguson News Editor When it comes to Renee McCormick’s job as sixth grade Language/Literature teacher, the hard work and long hours are more than ‘cosmetic.’ McCormick’s other job, however, is all cosmetic and she’s really good at it. The Childers Middle School teacher is a successful Mark Kay independent sales director. Over the last 10 years, she has won five new cars to use as a result of her sales work. What’s the secret to having the drive to meet and exceed Mary Kay sales goals? “You have to work consistently,” McCormick said. “You have to set goals and work to that goal consistently.” McCormick loves both her jobs, but the Mary Kay income “let’s me afford to teach. I just love teaching.” McCormick took delivery of a new Chevy Cruze at the Broken Arrow Jim Norton Dealership last week. Mary Kay independent sales force members earn the use of a career car by meeting or exceeding goals set within their Mary Kay businesses. “I feel so blessed to be a part of a company that strives to enrich the lives of women,” McCormick added. “Mary Kay is a company that enables personal growth and financial fulfillment while keeping the priorities of God first, family second and career third.” The Career Car Program includes the Chevy Cruze in white, Chevy Equinox crossover in black, Toyota Camry in black, Ford Mustang in black and the iconic and coveted pearlized pink Cadillac. When asked if she’s ever driven an old car, McCormick had a quick response. “I haven’t for 10 years,” she said. Since the Mary Kay Career Car Program’s inception in 1969, more than 141,000 independent sales force members have qualified or re-qualified to earn the use of a Mary Kay career car.
