These cards will help us set an accurate ministry budget for the coming year. If you weren’t able to turn in your card, you may do so at any time in the coming weeks. Extra cards are available in the Church Office or in the Narthex. NEWSLETTER DEADLINE – The next issue of The Summerfield Spirit, our church’s newsletter, will be published by December 1, 2014. This will be a double issue for December 2014 and January 2015, so if you’re submitting an article, please be sure to include information and events for both months. The deadline to turn in articles for this issue is this Thursday, November 20. Because of the Thanksgiving holiday, please turn in your articles by this date so that we are able to complete the newsletter in time. Articles received after the deadline may be held for the February newsletter. The United Methodist Men will be selling BOSTON BUTTS! They will be cooked on November 22nd and are $40.00 each. If you’d like to place an order, please see any member of the UMM or contact the church office. We will be participating in a COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING SERVICE on Sunday, November 23rd at 6:30pm at Community Lutheran Church. An offering will be collected for our food & clothing pantry, the Sonshine Room. This will be a wonderful opportunity to thank God together for all He continues to do in our community and in our churches, so please make plans to attend. The SONSHINE ROOM was blessed to provide food, clothing and toiletries to 63 folks last month. When family members are counted, we served 194 from our abundance. Our shelves are once again almost empty, so we need your help to restock them before we open up next month, especially with oatmeal, rice, dried beans, peanut butter and canned green beans, meats and soups. We will open next on Nov. 25. Thanks for your faithful support of this mission.
