This a SPECIAL ACAPELLA AMMUNITION to honor our Black History Heroes from the entire diaspora. The great heroes who have greatly made a difference in the history of the world, and especially in America where our history is commonly forgotten in the schools or watered down. BELOW ARE A FEW IMPORTANT PEOPLE IN OUR HISTORY SOME HAVE PASSED BUT THEIR IMPACT STILL LASTS, AND SOME OF THEIR NAMES ARE FEATURED IN THE SONG & SOME OF THEIR BOOKS, MUSIC. MOVIES THEY ARE FEATURED IN, OR WRITED BY THEM ARE IN THIS VIDEO. There were many other great black/African people who changed history these are just a few WE HONOR THEM ALL THIS MONTH & ALL 365 DAYS OF THE YEAR. Lets honor: Harriet Tubman- abolitionist, humanitarian, and Union spy during the American Civil War. Malcom X-was an African-American Muslim minister and a human rights activist. Marcus Gavery-was a Jamaican political leader, publisher, journalist, entrepreneur, and orator who was a staunch proponent of the Black nationalism and Pan-Africanism movements. Martin Luther King- Minister. One of the Important Leaders of the Civil Rights Movement Dr.Frances Cress Welsing, is an African American psychiatrist practicing in Washington, D.C.. She is noted for Cress Theory of Color Confrontation, which explores the practice of white supremacy & writer of THE ISIS PAPERS Marvin Gaye- Singer, Songwriter, & Musician Muhammad Ali- Champion Boxer & Human Rights Activist, is considered one the greatest boxers who ever lived. Rosa Parks- Important member of the civil rights movement, apart of the bus boycotts. Mark Dean- African American Computer Engineer & Inventor Henry Blair-the second African American inventor to receive a patent Sarah Goode- Inventor and Entrepreneur/First African American Woman to receive a patent. A. Haile Germia- Movie: creator & writer of the cult classic movie SANKOFA Alex Haley Writer of ROOTS the series based from his boo ROOTS. Djimon Hounsou & Morgan Freeman- Movie: Stars of AMISTAD Billy Holiday- an American jazz singer and songwriter. Nicknamed Lady Day by her friend and musical partner Lester Young, Holiday had a seminal influence on jazz and pop singing Susan Altman- Writer of- The Encyclopedia of African American Heritage Randall Kennedy Writer of the book Nigger W.E.B. Du Bois- was an American sociologist, historian, civil rights activist, Pan-Africanist, author and editor. Born in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, Du Bois grew up in a relatively tolerant and integrated community. David Waldstreicher- Author & College Professor. wrote Slaverys Constitution. Roberta Flack- Songwriter, Musician, & Singer, is notable for jazz, soul, R&B, and folk music. Music today & own for here amazing love songs. Michael Jackson- Singer, Songwriter, and Pop Music Icon. Curtis Mayfield- Songwriter, Singer, and Musician, known for crating the entire soundtrack to the movie Superfly. Stevie Wonder- Singer, Songwriter, & Musician, known for many great works including the masterpiece Songs Of The Key Of Life. Miles Davis- Jazz & Blues Icon. played trumpet & influenced in age jazz. African American jazz musician, trumpeter, bandleader, and composer. Widely considered one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century, Al Green- Singer, Songwriter. Soul Music, R&B Icon Thelonious Monk- Musician, Jazz Icon. Ice Cube- Actor, Director & Hip Hop Artist, was known for being one of the founding remembers of N.W.A. is now also a household name in movies. One of his many acclaimed albums Death Certificate is known for his look on America. Sade- Helen Folasade Adu, OBE, better known as Sade, is a British singer-songwriter, composer, and record producer.
