This advice for restraint or prohibitory dictat is all said and - TopicsExpress

This advice for restraint or prohibitory dictat is all said and done negative and may not work; may continue to be embarrassing and irritating to the country and also to India observers from abroad. Instead what they should be talking about has to be advised. The suggestion to concentrate on development and governance is indeed a cliche; and India is developing all these years though it needs socio-geographic and regional-sectoral spread or reach increasingly. We have to ask the question why and how and what for this development is. We should stop looking at this development in the all too obvious or common place middle class and industrialist corporate honcho perspective---increased incomes, increased earning opportunities and abilities, travel abroad, acquisition of assets, sites and houses, flats and augmentation of rental and interest incomes, lowered corruption in all these asset augmentation activities and institutions and capital gains prospects, ease of doing business, lowered levels of taxes, easy access to land, electricity and water, uncluttering of labour obligations, quickened and hassle free disposal of sewage and other pollutants and environmental upgradation at government aegis . Regarding the question as to why development and for whom, we have to emphasise that the poor of our country have to receive these benefits both as opportunity seekers and producers and as consumers increasingly and proportionately increasingly. The poor have to receive a larger proportion of the widening national cake. The poor including the downtrodden, women, minorities, Muslims, tribal people in the countrys farther hinterlands have to be partners in dignity, well being, justice and equality. These sections should be freed from indignities, discrimination and neglect and feel a sense of partnership in decision making and political and social and economic happenings. The cases of injustice and discrimination and genocide and violence and vengeance and vigilantism have all to be removed and perpetrators have to be punished expeditiously according to law. This is the way forward for development, social, economic and political development of India. Jai Hind!
