This afternoon, I had the pleasure of kicking off the Princess of Robeson County Pageant-- a preliminary to the Princess of North Carolina State Scholarship Pageant -- by performing the National Anthem, and I was delighted to serve as the Mistress of Ceremonies for the occasion. The talent and beauty of each contestant not only resonated with me in a deeply affirming way, but also reminded me of how much I did NOT envy the judges or the hard job they had been tasked with completing. Congratulations to the outgoing queens on your wonderful year of service, and to the newly crowned queens on what I am sure will be a year full of incredible memories, personal growth, and passionate service. Thank you, Sonny Walton, for having me back and allowing me to be a part of (for the fourth year) a pageant that continually raises the standard by promoting the power and potential of young girls! As always, I must thank All Occasions & Bridal for my fun and fabulous polka dot cocktail dress. I couldnt have picked a better piece of wardrobe for this event!
