This afternoon a very special and unprecedented Music Without Borders concert event took place as musicians of the San Diego Symphony performed at Border State/Friendship Park with musicians of La Orquesta de Baja California. Our musicians were on one side of the border gate as musicians from Mexico were on the other side performing simultaneously. The crowd was emotionally moved at the significance of this event as the concert signified friendship and collaboration between these two countries. Thanks to musicians Jory Herman, AJ Nilles, Igor Pandurski, Marcia Bookstein from the San Diego Symphony as well as Jorge Soto, Alejandro Garcia, Apolo Pachinski, Augusto Miron and Oscar Miramontes Yllan from La Orquestra de Baja California. BRAVO!
