This afternoon, my daughter came home from school and we had a conversation that goes like this: Daughter: Mom, todays last period is Civic class and teacher quizzed us on various topics. Her last question before the bell rang was Who is the author of the Harry Potter stories? Nobody in the class raise their hands, so I raised mine and answered J.K. J.K. Rowling. Mom: Thats good but do you mean nobody in your class ever heard of Harry Potter? Daughter: Nobody heard of him or even aware of his existence. Mom: Oh, my goodness! And how many pupils are there in your class? Daughter: Thirty-five. All of them are into Chinese and Korean movies. No one read any English storybook. Mom: Unbelievable! Daughter: Thank you, Mom, for introducing Harry Potter to me since I was a young child. Mom smiled. Daughter, to this day, is still a huge Harry Potter fan. She knew all his ups and downs by heart.
