This appears to be still up and running ... SEACC has created a one click comment page that will go directly to the DOT ... check it out and Share ... Here it is : Tell Alaska DOT not to spray chemicals on Thorne Bay Rd. Local communities are concerned about Alaska Department of Transportations plans to spray chemical herbicides along both sides of the 17 mile Thorne Bay Road on Prince of Wales Island. Chemical herbicides are harmful to salmon, deer, and other subsistences resources local people use the road to access. Communities across Southeast have asked DOT to avoid spraying chemical herbicides on local roads - theres no reason an exception should be made for POW. Lets ask ADOT to stick to non-chemical vegetation control! Add your own comments to DOT using the one-click form ... Comments from folks on POW and nearby are the most important, so please pass this letter along to your friends and neighbors. salsa4.salsalabs/o/51091/p/dia/action3/common/public/?action_KEY=11600
