This article and these portraits are dramatic, presenting an important lesson that needs to be learned by everyone. As a modern style portrait photographer, it also carries another message to me. What a difference wardrobe, personal hygiene, make-up and hair style make in an image of you! How you are perceived in life has so much to do with how you decide to present yourself to the world. As the article says, it changes how people treat you. But back to portraits. This is a major reason why a good photographer can re-create you in a style that you want to be seen. For instance, for most models, you would have trouble recognizing them in real life. Thats not true for everyone, but its very common. You think it just cant be the same person, but it is.
