This article is an excellent example of irrational interference in individual sovereignty. First the Gates demonstrate changes, like Mexico City, that just maybe might have improved DESPITE government actions. Second, there assumption can be challenged with the same logic; and, government taking to give elsewhere (here, foreign aid) is theft. Third, and most ridiculously, what has Malthus got to do with prosperity? I do have to praise the Gates for their charity, but, when they promote government charity, that is theft and the denigration of individual sovereignty. I can be charitable, but will be less so when government takes from me limiting my ability to support myself and my family. The Gates cannot make decisions for me - or anyone else.
