This article itemizes the disastrous mistakes that Japan has made that have destroyed its economy and wiped out 3/5 of its wealth. The articles importance is that starting with the numerous George W. Bush stimulus bills, spending money we had to borrow, and the continuation of those practices under Obama, America is following the script that has destroyed Japan in exact detail. Pouring money into the economy using the central bank continues to this day, exactly as Japan did it. This is the standard result of the Keynesian policies that are destroying our economy. Bush supporters love to argue that he was a believer in capitalism, but the truth is that he was as much in love with big government central control policies as Obama. Bush called it business but his actions followed the corrupt crony capitalist big government script and never allowed for free enterprise to work. Like everyone who believes that the previous failure of Keynesian policies before them was the stupidity of the leader, Bush was sure that he was smart enough to make Keynes work. He couldnt. He didnt. It is not possible. The stupidity is in thinking that Keynes can be made to work if you call it compassionate conservatism, or fiddle with the words in some other subtle way as Obama loves to do. It failed when Bush tried it. It is still failing under Obama. The only chance to stop the destruction of our nation is to return to free enterprise based capitalism and abandon the crony capitalism of Wall Street. No leader of either party seems to understand that though. Rick Perry comes the closest. However by the time Obama leaves office in 2-1/2 years, it will probably be too late for anyone to save us. The disaster is coming. Unfortunately, our disaster will probably take a lot of other countries with us.
