This article makes some compelling points about the rights of smaller countries like Scotland to not be part of the UK and how it may start more of a chain reaction towards smaller nation-state sovereignty, which is regarded as more efficient and beneficial for its people. Problem is of the 200 largest economies in the world, over half of them are not sovereign nations, they are litigation-inclined corporations who sue for nothing more than their bottom line interests--citizenry and environment be damned. And its not a world court that convenes to decide the matter. This represents a disturbing method in which the corporations manipulate the laws of any and every land they consider to suit their whims and they pick off the slower, weaker ones first. Scotland must be cautious in this regard because once they break up with Britain, she will likely behave as a smug, jilted matriarch if they should ever come back with their hat in their hand.
