This article seems to be heretical. The author seems to value social justice over scriptural truth. When he vaguely refers to scripture I believe that he is misinterpreting, his exegesis is faulty, if not actually eisegesis, and he cobbles together references out of context. Yes, the second greatest commandment is to love your neighbor as yourself, but we are also taught that a man who doesnt provide for his family is worse than an unbeliever. Additionally, in marriage, the man is the head of the woman, and the Messiah is over the man. Husbands are exhorted to love their wives as the Messiah loved the assembly of believers. The Messiah DIED for the Church. If men are to love their wives in mimicry of Christ, they are to love and lead sacrificially, but they ARE called to lead.
