University of Trento - Application, Admission and Visa Processing steps: দুই মাস হল ইতালির Trento তে এসেছি। দুই মাসে অনেক কিছুই দেখেছি, প্রতিদিন ই নতুন কিছু শিখছি। অনেক কিছু আছে এখানে আবার অনেক কিছুই নেই। মা-বাবা,বোন, আত্মীয় এবং কাছের বন্ধুদের ছাড়া চ্যালেঞ্জিং এই জীবনে নিজেকে মানিয় নেওয়ারচেষ্টা করে চলেছি। অনেকেই জানতে চেয়েছে ইতালিতে পড়তে চাইলে কি করতে হবে, কিভাবে কি করতে হবে? খুব গুছিয়ে লিখবো বলে সময় নিচ্ছিলাম। কিন্তু সম্রাট ভাইয়ার পোষ্ট এর পরে আর সময় নেওয়া ঠিক হবে বলে মনে হলনা। পুরোটা বাংলায় লিখার ইচ্ছে ছিল, কিন্তু আমার ইউরোপিয়ান কীবোর্ডে অভ্রতে বাংলা লিখা খুব কষ্টকর হয়ে যাচ্ছিল, তাই খানিকটা বাধ্যহয়েই ইংরেজিতে লিখলাম। মজা করে লিখতে পারলাম না বলে খারাপ লাগছে। আমি যখন অ্যাপ্লাই করি, আমি নিজেও জানতাম না যে কিভাবে কি করতে হবে, কিন্তু থেমে থাকিনি। মহান আল্লাহ্ তাআলার অশেষ রহমতে শেষ পর্যন্ত আমি সফল হয়েছি। যাই হোক, এই পুরো লিখাটা আমার নিজের অভিজ্ঞতা থেকে লিখা, কারো কোন confusion থাকলে জানাবেন। আর পুরো লিখাটা University of Trento এর জন্য লিখা। ইতালির সব বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় এর জন্য ভিসা প্রসেসিং একই হবার কথা, অন্য ভার্সিটির স্কলারশিপ এর বিষয় গুলো আমার তেমন একটা জানা নেই। Computer Science & Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Material Science & Engineering এ স্কলারশিপ মাস্টার্স করার সুযোগ আছে এখানে।অনেককেই দেখি মাস্টার্স করে এখন পি, এইচ, ডি করছেন এখানেই। ইতালির ভিসা প্রসেসিং খুব ই কঠিন এবং অনেক গুলো ধাপ পেরুতে হয়। কেউ যদি সত্যিই ইতালিতে পড়তে আসতে চায় তাহলে চার থেকে ছয় মাস খুব পরিশ্রম করতে হবে, আর এটা করলেই যে কেউ চলে আসতে পারবে তার ও কোন নিশ্চয়তা নেই। কাউকে নিরুৎসাহিত করা আমারউদ্দেশ্য না, তবে এই ব্যাপার গুলো জেনেশুনেই সামনে আগানো ভাল। ভিসা প্রসেসিংযাইহোক, ইতালির ভার্সিটি গুলোর মান নিয়ে সন্দেহের কোন অবকাশ নেই। For Admission: i. You have to go through the online application procedure. It’s mandatory to submit JPG/PDF version of Passport, JPG of passport size photo, and PDF of all certificates and transcripts, reference letter (2), Motivation letter, English efficiency certificate (Medium of Instruction certificate is accepted if you have a very good cgpa). ii. 15 euro should be paid as admission fee. ( This can be done by Virtual Card, DBBL) iii. The deadline is usually 28th February (please be update with the University of Trento Website) For Admission Confirmation: i. The result will be published within March or first week of April. ii. If your admission score is more than 75 you will able to apply for ‘Opera Universitaria’ scholarship.Otherwise, you have to bear your own expenses. iii. 100 euro has to be paid as Admission confirmation fee (Virtual card again). After this they will send offer letter soon. Document Attestation: (BDT 2000 – BDT 3500) After the confirmation of admission, all certificates and transcripts {main copy (opposite page) + minimum 2 set of photocopies} should be attested by a. Controller of Education board (SSC,HSC) and Controller of Examination Bachelor level. (Registrar – for IIUC) b. Education ministry c. Foreign Ministry (they take only 10 copies at a time, you may have to go more than two times there) d. Notarize all the photocopies (not the main copies) IOM (International Organization of Migration) Verification: (BDT 16000) You have to take an appointment to verify your documents from IOM, Dhaka. Appointment can be taken by email ([email protected]) or direct phone contact (01713-065514). Please be updated from ambdhaka.esteri.it/Ambasciata_Dhaka . I had to call more than 200 times to get an appointment and keep your passport with you when you are calling for an appointment. They will take one month (approximately) to complete the verification processes. They will charge around BDT 16000 (subject to your board and distances from Dhaka). For Scholarship: You have to make an affidavit (according to the requirement of ‘Opera Universitaria’). Then, i. The affidavit should be ‘Notarized’ ii. Attested by Law Ministry (bring photocopy with you) iii. Attested by Foreign Ministry Now, you have to submit the scanned copy of affidavit (PDF) to the ‘Opera Univarsitaria’ through online portal or email (I can’t strictly remember, but it’s not a big problem). You don’t need to send the pdf of translated copy,only English copy (main copy) is enough. They will inform everything through the mail. After the assessment, they will send you scholarship confirmation letter. You have to bring the original copy and translated copy at the time of your arrival in Italy. As we are from third world country, we get 5000 euro per year and other benefits (like reduced rent for house rents and meal). So for me, it is just more than enough. If you face any problem with your scholarship document, please let me know. I will send my scanned copy through email. Pre-Enrollment Appointment: This is the most important but the toughest step of enrolment. Before, your IOM verification should be completed. IOM will send your verification code number to the Embassy. You have to send mail to the Ambassador of Italian Embassy Dhaka for pre-enrolment appointment. The mailing time and email format will be found in the website of Italian embassy Dhaka (ambdhaka.esteri.it).Please check the lower part of the homepage. Among the 6500 (six thousand and five hundred) applicants, only 180 students could manage their pre-enrollment appointment last year. They will open their mail portal only for first 150 emails (perhaps) and then they will select the applicants for different categories. Only 15 students (more or less) get appointment in each week. Getting an appointment largely depends on luck(almost 99%). I saw many people could not manage pre-enrollment appointment though their documents were quite ready. There are some tricks and techniques for mailing. If you are in this step - just let me know, May be I can help by explaining what I did, but I can’t guarantee that it does work certainly. In your email, you can choose your interview place from Dhaka, Ctg and Sylhet. Translation: (BDT4000) If you get an appointment for pre-enrollment, you have to submit all your certificates, transcripts and translated in Italian as well. Authorized Italian translator: (Tradusoft Translation Agency, Bashati Dream, Rd20, Hs 3, Apt A5, 5th Floor, Gulshan 1,behind Navana Tower). It’s very difficult to manage the translation after getting pre-enrollment appointment. But if you don’t want to waste more money maybe you can do it even after getting the pre-enrollment appointment (I did it too). The Madam, who is the director of Tradusoft is a very kind woman, I requested her and she did it for me. At the same time you can also translate the Scholarship affidavit but it is not needed for the upcoming pre-enrolment interview. They can charge up to BDT 4000. Pre-Enrollment Interview at VFS Office: (BDT 1600) If you get the most expected pre-enrollment appointment, there will be an interview. The interview is usually a skype conversation with the consulate of Italian Embassy. You have to bring all the required documents and BDT 1600 with you to the VFS Office of respective place (Dhaka, Ctg or Sylhet). This is not that hard. He will check your English fluency, intention and other stuffs about you. Later, The VFS office will keep your documents and will give you a receipt.Please keep it safe. Remember, once you are done with pre-enrolment interview, the chance of getting visa is almost 99% (if you have proper documents and if you don’t try to do fraud) Visa Application and Embassy facing: (BDT 2500) After almost one month, VFS office Dhaka will contact with you to take your documents back. You will find the documents are attested by Italian Embassy Dhaka. You have to try your best to take an Embassy appointment as soon as possible. The VFS office staffs are not very friendly, but you must not give it up. They will charge BDT 2000 for visa application and Embassy appointment. At the same time, you will submit your scholarship affidavit to be attested by the Italian Embassy through VFS office Dhaka (It may charge BDT 500). For embassy facing, you have to prepare the following documents: i. Certificate of 5820 euro in student file (not block account and Standard Chartered bank is preferable, money can be withdrawn after getting visa) ii. Bank statement of that account iii. Declaration (affidavit) of Money donor (usually father) iv.Deposit slip of money donation (by his name) v. National ID card photocopy of donor vi. Air ticket booking (just a booking,not the ticket. Any travel Agency can help you here) vii. Two sets of photocopy (above documents) The consulate may ask you whatever he wants. So don’t be afraid. I got my visa within 48 hours after my visa application. Please Attention: i. The Economic condition is getting better day by day after the Economic crisis of 2008 but still not very good.There are very limited job opportunities and there is no part time job here,Also language is big burden here. So, don’t even think about the part time job now. If u can learn Italian well, may be you will find something better. From my personal experience, learning Italian is not a very easy job. ii. If you get the scholarship, you are tuition fee waived. iii. If u can’t complete the required number of credit within the prescribed time, your scholarship will be cancelled. iv. Please avoid frauds and brokers. v. First think and then take decision,you may have to expense more than BDT 40000 even if you don’t get the pre-enrolment. If you are from Chittagong, you have to consider the traveling costs. It’s huge ….. vi. The validity of the translated copies 6 months. So if you want to apply again you have to translate all the documents again but you don’t need to do IOM Verification again. vii. The first Installment of scholarship amount will be paid at the end of the November. So you have to bring enough money to survive until December. It’s almost 2200 euro.
