This audio book is a real resource to anybody who has time to read - TopicsExpress

This audio book is a real resource to anybody who has time to read the word of God. I was just saying to myself yesterday that I did not think that I could possibly read all of the Bible through anytime soon, much less even the 4 Gospels and that would be the reason for just reading a few books based upon the Bible until I eventually learned enough about It to gather the basic foundations of the book and then start to read It. I have a reference Bible that I am going to read and Its only 500 pages, so Its spiral bindable. I am going to laminate the covers since they are falling off of It anyway and I will use It like a notebook, reading a little bit of It at a time, like a Gospel or all 4 Gospels or a book out of It like Acts or Romans. I didnt really know where to start reading except for what RMI recommended from their book seeing Jesus as he really is so I think Ill just reread the Gospels through several times and then the New testament. Yesterday while I was working at the Huntington Learning Center at the James Connor park, I discovered that I did not have any of my books to read but I did have my laptop computer with this YTD audio book downloaded on It so I thought to myself let me see how much of the New testament I can pay attention to in one sitting over at Jimmys old Apt. This audio book is not actually the Bible, but a notebook describing in great detail each book of the Bible and also each Chapter and each verse for the concepts and the themes contained in them. Its just a way for someone who is interested in the Bible to get an idea about what to read in the first place or eventually. I was thinking about being inspired and inspiring other people so I decided to check It out. I started listening to It at 11:30 PM and I finished listening to It at about 3 AM or only about 2 1/2 hours and I finished all 4 Gospels and the book of ACTS. I have never in my life read so much scripture in an evening so I was amazed at this technique for covering so much in a short amount of time! It really has me motivated to reading (on paper) each of the Gospels for total clarity and meaning for at least an equal amount of time. I dont think that Ill do It any other way, although I dont exactly know now what I will do with the information other than to pray for other people or to get them to talk about God with me from time to time. Inspiration, civilized living and higher desires for provision and abundant life are the best purposes that I can think of for It right now. I still havent read Warren Buffets purpose driven life yet, but I would like to in the near future. I put on the complete old testament audio book once I got home and went to bed and started listening to It for some time (before I went to sleep and for sometime afterwards, about 4 hours) and I am working on learning the general themes of that portion of the Bible as well. I got a call from an administrator at the River Bible Institute at the River church in Tampa Florida last week asking me if I would like to go there and I put It off, thinking that I would just do this approach first before I go to their boot camp where I think that they would perhaps have me memorizing long blocks of scripture. Its just better to have some basic working knowledge of the word and their ministry offline first before I could really consider It.
