This baby Eurasian Collard Dove is learning how to peck at seeds. Hes still being fed formula and is more interested in my hand than the seed, but hell get the hang of it. When he came in a little over a week ago, he was cold, unresponsive, nearly dead. Both of his little wings were fractured. I dont know how he was injured but unfortunately he was kept in a cage for over a day without heat and being too young to eat on his own, he quickly went downhill. I think if I would have got him even 15 minutes later, he would have been dead. Immediate heat and fluids are what slowly started to bring him around. Hes finished his antibiotics, his wing wraps are off, and hes doing amazingly well!
