This blast of arctic air, certainly gives me pause to be thankful. Thankful for heat and shelter; there are those who have neither, shelter or heat. Thankful for warm clothes; there are many who have only bare essentials. Thankful that I dont have to be outside, working in this icy environment; there are many who have no choice. I am thankful for their dedication and sacrifice. I am thankful for the sun! The cold is easier to adjust to when the sun is shining. Even though my old joints are stiff from the cold, I thank God that I still have all my limbs. And on a lighter note, I am thankful for ski masks and ear muffs that keep the cold air from getting thru small openings and freezing my small brain! Brain freeze is not pleasant, and if my pea brain freezes, you will all be bored, you see!
