This bling bishop story is hilarious - unless of course you are a German taxpayer, in which case it is a scandal. Franz-Peter Tebartz-van Elst, bishop of Limburg, has been lavishing cash on his residence, even down to a €15,000 BATH! How on earth can a bath be that expensive? It must do holy benedictions, christenings, baptisms, and everything, all on the press of a button. In our house, as readers of Spiegel, wed had our eye on him; he just doesnt look right.
