This brings back funny now but scary and anxious memories for me and my parents. Like the time in 10th grade when I took a bus from my neighborhood in San Diego (North Park) to Escondido to get the hydra samples I needed for my research which was the Effects of Vitamin E on Hydra Regeneration. My hypothesis was that vitamin E was effective in the area of healing tissue that had been injured. Needless to say, I got lost in the dark hinterlands of Escondido. I saw the only house that was in view and knocked on the door and asked if I could use the phone (no cell phones back then). Fortunately the lady was nice and drove me to the Escondido police department where I later got a ride home from one of Escondidos finest. #LostScienceAfroNerd
