This caught my eye. Beware of claims for products, even if the endorsement comes from someone with credentials you should trust. Self promotion is one thing, but I wonder if Dr. Oz has not been self deluded into thinking that his endorsement is legitimate. Some might suggest the backlash may be coming from traditional medicine defending orthodoxy and the poor results we often see. The food pyramid may be official but it has its own issues. Personally, I have learned and teach that eating real food (vegetables, some fruit, fish poultry and lean meat, nuts and seeds avoiding sugar and bad fat) and exercise with intensity is effective if it is practiced. It is a life long process with periods of zeal alternating with apathy, but it is the most proven way to get the desired results. Having help from others is important for most. That message doesnt advertise as well as miracle or revolutionary but it is much closer to the truth.
