This cherry festival has been held since1983 in the nearby Castillo de Locubín. It marks the beginning of the harvest, there are contests for Cherry desserts, liqueurs and special dishes in which the only requirement is that the precious red fruit takes pride of place. The dishes are on public display and once the judges make their decisions, you can sample and buy the cherry products. All of this accompanied with musical and cultural performances. Each year this Festival has thousands of visitors who come to enjoy this Cherry celebration and visit this Town and its charming surroundings.
