This coming Thursday, January 30th, the Albany Times Union will begin its Capital Region Gives competition to recognize and award funding to non-profit groups -- including animal welfare organizations -- in our region. In 2012, Whiskers was one of the three finalists, but didnt win, and this year...we are ready to rumble! As an all volunteer, small, no-kill shelter that takes in the kitties that no one else will, and that gets no government funding to achieve our mission, Whiskers could really use your help to get nominated and then go all of the way with votes on our behalf. Will you help? Well be posting all of the competition details when they are announced by the Times Union on Thursday.
