This country never ceases to amaze me. Darwen Aldridge Community Academy today told a female pupil to remove her poppy as it was racist and offensive to the Muslim pupils who attend the school. She was not allowed to display her respect for the fallen or observe a two minute silence. One questions the ethos and values of this school and asks why this blatant racialism against whites is allowed to exist in education and why cant we show respect to those who gave their lives? I feel the teacher who made the female pupil remove her poppy needs sacking from all education forth with. I will be voicing my concerns within the education authorities and board of governors.
