This day 2008 was a big day for me. I was released from Catawba - TopicsExpress

This day 2008 was a big day for me. I was released from Catawba Valley Medical Center. I had taken 40 radiation treatments to my throat for stage 4 Tonsil Cancer. I did two 5 day stays for Chemo Therapy. I had done four surgeries. One was a night’s stay when Dr.’s removed my tonsils. One Dr.’s surgically removed my teeth because the radiation was going to weaken the strength of my jaw bones. The third Dr.’s inserted a feeding tube. Fourth Dr.’s removed 3/4ths of my stomach because of infection of my stomach. From Friday the 11th of July back to April 23rd 2008 my life had changed. I went from 145 lbs. down to 106. I had spent total of 18 days in the hospital. I had received 7 different chemo’s of 24/7 chemo treatments. Dr.’s told me they had done all they could do except for maybe what would be a fifth surgery to remove cancer growth in my left side of my neck in my lymph nodes. They send me home for two weeks before next Dr. appointment. Being my stomach surgery I was on a feeding machine that pumped the nutrition fluids in my stomach. I had to feed with system 18 hours out of 24 to get the amount Dr.’s said I needed. I knew without any doubt God was totally in control of what I had been through. It was going to be totally God’s decision of whether I lived or died. I had been every where and done every thing Dr.’s had ask. Thank you God for your mercy and strength. Thank you to many that kept me in their prayers.
