This day was marvelous! Simply marvelous! I took on the Gulf of Mexico and won...even though there wasnt much of a fight...and moved a little closer to my goal at a pace fittin my frame of mind. Im on Island Time! I am at whats called Wiggins Pass (close to it) and will be waitin my opportunity to take on the Gulf of Mexico once more. The inner waterways here dont connect on this coast like they do over on the east coast. So, I gotta go out into the Gulf to get to the next pass to get back on the inner waterways. Its about a 5 mile stretch of Gulf from here to Clam Bay Pass, and so I have to pick my time when I aint gonna get caught in a storm and the waves aint that big too. Dont mind a little rock and roll, but that hammerin from chop wears me out! And it could break the Huck and I cant let that happen after weve come this far. I can hear the surf on the other side of this island Im parked behind for the night. There were signs of a storm on the western horizon when I stopped at the pass (Why do they call them Inlets on the east coast?), so I picked a good spot to wait it out and here I sit. If it werent for the eastern horizon bein marred by obscene appendages stickin up into the sky (You can probably see Mexico from the penthouse.) Id think I was in the 10,000 Islands already. It was especially nice today not to speak more than 50 words, and that includes tellin Rebecca no a zillion times. My voice box was sore from all that talkin on camera. Ill get over it when Im at the Emmys! :-) I got some ravioli to eat, so Ill get this posted, eat, watch a fantastic sunset, then sleep away the evenin about as close to nature as anyone can get. Not too close! Them no-see-ems are ferocious! One last thing. I watched dolphins today and had one come out of the water right in front of the boat. Amazin that I saw it, but not so that I didnt have camera ready. Anyway, it was cool...Believe me! Always stay well! Captn Nat
