This enenews link has two videos - one from the head of a group documenting the increasing abnormalities and deaths in Fukushima children and the other an interview with Arnie Gundersen. Once again, if we let it, all the deaths of the children in Japan caused by exposure to radiation will NEVER be linked causally to radiation. There is simply too much at stake money and power wise and too many in the media and in politics willing to minimize and distort facts to maintain the illusion of control over manmade radiation, such as comparing exposure to eating bananas or getting a chest x-ray. I chose this link today especially because of something Arnie said - a single particle was recovered from a vacuum bag of dirt sent to them that came from 300 kilometers away from Fukushima. This single particle is emitting 200 disintegrations a second, and as Arnie says, thats 200 x-rays per second. 200 hundred. When a public official is trotted out to tell people that the exposure they just got from Fukushima or Hanford or Florida, or New Jersey or New Mexico, or St Louis, or Southern Cal, or Iraq with depleted uranium is no more than a chest x-ray, they intend for you to think in terms of a single x-ray and not 200 x-rays per second, second after second after second, minute after minute, hour after hour, day after day, after year after 20,000 years for just this one single particle. They want you to think once. They want you to suspend a belief in physics in order to tell you a fib. Sadly, very, very sadly, the best thing that the general population can hope for with radiation set loose into the environment is that another human being or animal comes along and sucks it up, or inhales it, or takes it away on the bottom of their shoes....the best hope may be that someone else becomes the recipient of the deadly 200 disintegrations and not ourselves, that for at least the length of their life, they will quarantine the rest of us from the radiation within their own body, shielding the environment while they live. There is no way to clean radiation up up once it is set loose. This is the circumstance, the moral dilemma, that nuclear proponents are willing to have everyone play within in order to flick on a light switch.
