This evening through tonight we will see spells of rain becoming more widespread across Scotland, the Western Isles and the Northern Isles. The rain most persistent across North West Scotland. Elsewhere across the UK and Ireland, showers this evening will become fewer and further between with largely dry conditions for most places. Later further showers will develop across Northern England and Northern Ireland with a few scattered showers also affecting western parts of Ireland, Wales and South West England. Light westerly winds will affect most areas, veering southwest later and becoming stronger across Northern Ireland, western parts of Ireland, Isle of Man, Scotland, the Western Isles and the Northern Isles. Another cool night with temperatures widely falling to single figures, although temperatures will rise across western parts of both Ireland and Northern Ireland and across the Western Isles by dawn.
