This exhibition, currently on display at the Royal Academy of Arts, traces the great flowering of Mexican art that took place between 1910 and 1940. But it also tells the lesser-known story of how significant numbers of foreign artists and writers helped turn Mexico into one of the great centres of 20th century art. The Antenna audio tour features expert insight from curator of the exhibition, Adrian Locke and Dawn Ades, art historian and expert in Latin America and Surrealism. The audio guide also features music from Mexican musicians, such as Silvestre Revueltas and Alfonso Cruz Jiménez, recorded in the 1940s providing visitors with a warm, authentic and evocative soundscape.
