This family from Nisporeni touched our hearts in a special way! When we arrived at the house the two boys were laying under the blankets trying to keep warm in the old cold house while mom was out (she came later too) . These kidsdad is in prison, while mom is trying hard to make ends meet. She was recently hospitalized with a pancreatic disease and was not able to pay out the hospital bill. When we asked if they went sledding yet since it was snow outside, the boys faces got sad and they admitted the only sled they had was broken so they couldnt go.. These boys were some of the sweetest kids we met! We were able to pay their moms hospital bill and blessed them with firewood and food. Next day, we bought them 2 sleds and there were squeals of joy and happiness. They run out the house the minute they heard the news and were excited to see their new sleds. The pure joy and happiness on their faces brought tears to our eyes! All of this was possible because of a group of young people who decided to be generous and be part of this mission trip by raising money for the needy in Moldova at their Christmas youth program.
