This from the BBC. It is actually the first well-balanced piece I have read from them. Only one issue. When talking about oil most, including this article, only talk about production (how much is left?) and cost (how much does a barrel of oil sell for?). What about taxation? This is the key issue when talking about oil. The UK currently taxes at less than half the amount Norway does and I dont see Norway having trouble with its oil sector. So yes, production and cost are important, but so too is tax and this will go a long way to restructuring the Scottish economy as suggested is necessary (and is) in this article.
