This funny this is. I was walking this afternoon, after I finished work, in a place I only discovered a couple of months ago. Its fairly secluded most of the time. Very peaceful indeed. I was trying to catch the last bit of late afternoon Autumn sunshine. Anyway, I was walking along one of the many tree lined paths minding my own business when I came upon this couple. They obviously did not expect to see me and there was a bit of an awkward moment while excused myself and walk past them. I suddenly got inspired to do a bit of prose. So for the rest of stroll around my little haven of paradise, I came up with this....... The meandering twists upon a path laid so bare, A knowing swift glance or a steely hard stare. They move with stealth making sure they’re unseen, Covering all tracks to conceal where they’ve been. Moving through undergrowth while crouching low, Well away from voyeurs so their faces don’t show. They are here once again for a liaison not spoken, Where again once more their passions are awoken. Their hearts are beating faster and pulses race away, And time just becomes a fleeting moment of the day. Hand in hand around the lake in this secluded Retreat, They appear so as one and their life seems complete. But over all too soon is their brief moment in the sun, Stark reality has spoken and they do not leave as One. Contact still remains though done with mobile phones, Their secret still intact like Stonehenge’s ancient stones. Feel like a Voyeur lol
