This goes out to my new friend David Ishaya Osu in Nigeria, who wrote me from Abuja to encourage me about it, having read it in an earlier iteration here; you mightve seen the three parts separately, but this is how they fit together, into this one poem I call Fall. Davids encouragement was especially welcome this morning of this day when it was fifteen years ago today my mother died, and I have never gotten over it; I can only get through this day this way, working on my poetry, as my mother wouldve wanted. I feel like she still is, only elsewhere, and I hope to see her again someday. Meanwhile I do what I do the best I can, and hope to save the world thereby, if only a line at a time, by at least making it a little more interesting, perhaps a little more thoughtful too; we all just want to be happy, and this is how I am. Thank you, David; thank you everyone.
