This group is getting very confusing to search and find whether a question has been asked, so sincerely apologies if this has been asked. If so, point me to the thread and Ill close this one (if I can). There has been talk about being exempt—even if you automatically send your files/links after a customer purchases—if you have something like an exclusive (i.e. customers-only) Facebook group where people can interact with you. Firstly, I take this to mean that I couldnt use my existing Facebook page for my business, as most of those users are not customers. I could have a private group which I include as a link and explanation in the purchase email. This isnt a bad idea regardless of VAT stuff, but are there rules on what proportion of customers need to sign up/interact? You cant force people to join a group, or to interact. Is merely having the group, offering help to customers if they need it, and maybe posting other things, enough?
