This group was suggested to me via a reenactor site. Im the costumer at a history museum in Arkansas; we have costumed interpreters for our buildings. Our dates are 1835-1850s. Im having a hard time finding affordable cottons for womens work dresses. Since were educators, not reenactors, high-end repro is not necessary, but period-appropriate is. The fabrics themselves have to hold up to a lot of machine washing. Any suggestions for suppliers? Also need to make vests for men- machine-washing for those is not necessary. Thanks for your input!
