This guy, and the new group Imma be a groupie for, Fat Pocket, were one of the many, many incredible groups that played yesterday at Ludrock 2014. I rocked my socks off with everything from gospel to country to mountain man hip-hop (swoon) to rock to hard rock to... Whew!! Todays shows start at 12:00-6:00 at Waterfront Park. Its free to attend. They do ask that if you are able, bring a canned good or two (or a case!) to the St. Simone tent for their food pantry. If you cant, its all good -- but they do take cash donations too, lol. (Wink, wink, hint, hint). For todays line-up, including John Merchant, Patty and David Gottwald, ukulele playing, and get-down-town music, go to ludrock. Just to add: they had delicious burgers, brats, hot dogs (and bake sale goodies!!) at the Food Tent and proceeds go to help support Eric Lund, our hometown wounded soldier, and homesforheroes to build Eric a suitable home. What was incredible was the announcement that they broke ground on his house yesterday -- was so cool to know something we were supporting and hoping for was happening right then! Yay!! The proceeds for the Beer Tent are going to LACA (Ludington Area Center for the Arts) -- a place where aspiring artists (musician, acting, art, etc.), established artists and those of us who love them all come together. A $1.00 and $5.00 Raffle Tent housed some killer prizes -- including a 50/50 drawing held twice (where both winners won over $200.00 each, woot!). More cool stuff today so come check it all out!!
