This guy, whatta man! Okay last SRT status from me. Promise. - TopicsExpress

This guy, whatta man! Okay last SRT status from me. Promise. But this, one should definitely admit. This guy entered around the time when India was torn between religious clashes, communal riots, liberalisation and what not. But one thing deemed to be impossible hitherto happened - Unity - at least in an abstract little way back then. That little thing grew exponentially over the years, no matter what and made a whole nation bloody emotional. I bet there is an emotional jury behind the Bharat Ratna as well. (Yes, even if its our pokerfaced Dr. MMS). You would ask what about the Indians getting abused in Australia? Yes, no denying. But there is a great chance that a majority of them involved in the mishap, irrespective of nationality, were Sachin fans. Man, thats truly amazing. Just like peace activists saying Even a terrorist has a heart. Who knows, even terrorists could be this guys ardent fans. For all we know, even atheists might call this man God and then think what did they just say. You be a Kashmiri, Tamilian or an Arabic speaking Moroccan, you and I will always be on the same side when SRT is the topic. No arguments whatsoever. We all know the story of our Parliament. Broken pieces of glass that never come together. There is Always two opinions to whatever they talk about. FDI - Congress says Yay, BJP says a big fat Nay. But this, they simply welcome the award with much appreciation. You may argue that Congress gains an astounding advantage by this decision coming polls and the other parties cant even think of contesting again if they even politely condemn the decision. The power of the billion member fan base is such.(This man can rewrite the fate of Indian politics if he says who he will vote for). That said, I find it highly unlikely. These guys may be two-faced about anything and everything. But not Sachin. Definitely not. This great ambassador connected people across religions, cultures, creeds, races, et al insofar that nobody can ever ever think of measuring the exact impact. (More than enough justice done to the BR decision, I presume). For once, all politicians unite genuinely for one cause. You just cant help but like this guy. Can you? All this is also the answer to the question why other Indian cricketing legends didnt get this kind of an emotional send off. They all were great cricketers. Im a hardcore Dravid fan myself. That guy is one exceptional human being. One of the nicest guys around. Yes, he could have gotten a brilliant farewell too. But he didnt want one. I respect it. But when I ask myself what does Sachin have that these guys dont. Numbers? Yes. But not enough to explain the difference in feelings we have for these legends. He has that something special which at once brings you and your arch-rival on the same side. Yeah even Dravid could do it. But not with a 4 year old and 80 year old simultaneously for about a quarter of a century. That something special is inexplicable. Cant be expressed in one word. But, why dont we call it Sachin? Whatta man. :) #ThankYouSachin
