This has always been one of my favorite songs. 9/11/2001 is a date we will never forget and it has shaped so many of our young lives. I still remember my 4th grade teacher sobbing that morning, burning candles on our front porch, my mom crying, and I will always remember how scared I was to fly later that next year. I wouldnt understand the magnitude of what happened until I got home and turned on the tv. I hope that the people who lost their loved ones 13 years ago are able to live on, especially the families of the firefighters (and many other civil workers) The ones who perished saved many people. When I think of heroes I think of the people who went back into those flames countless times. Also I always take a moment to remember all of the innocents to have died overseas. I think of my friends who have gone over and come home permanently altered by war. People may try to lessen the impact over the years, but for those of us who remember, we will never forget.
