This has an exhausting 12 hours...first of all little Emerson was in emerg with tummy pains last evening but is fine and came back home....at 10:05 Spruce Lodge called to tell me that Mom had taken a tumble and they were getting the ambulance..Warren and I rushed into the hospital...she has a terrible ankle fracture...she was in horrible pain...we decided not to operate because of her age and she does walk any more as well....they had to try to set it 3 different times..they tried 2x in emerg but decided they wanted Dr Guy to look at it...we all agreed no surgery....he finally got it set...poor Mom at 92 having to go thru all that...as of 3:30 this aft she is back at the home and resting OK...still has a lot of pain but being controlled by pain meds...and the saga goes on...Warren and I got back home early this morning at 2:30 went to bed to get some rest and by 6:00am I wake Warren up and tell him I have to go to emerg with horrible pain in my side...so, here we are Mom and I both in emerg together but different rooms....I knew I had a kidney stone but it decided to wreck havoc with me this morning....pain was horrible...never acted like that before..had a doses of pain meds and finally settled down...had a CT scan done and had shown that it had gotten larger...will be waiting for a call from the urologist to get at rid of this sucker, I hope....back home this morning by noon..so, the Doctors and nurses would come to see me about what was happening with Mom..we all had a chuckle about what was happening...I had a stone about 20 some years ago...there is no pain like it....hope tonight will be quiet and peaceful.
