This has been a crazy day. Calvin and I went to SAMS Club to get the last things for our family get together. He had to stop and lean on something to rest and catch his breath (he has COPD) and I can hardly walk by leaning on the cart so we finally got through. Both of us were exhausted and out of breath when we got in the car. I asked him what we were going to do when neither one of us could get around any more. He said he would just stay in the bed. I guess that means I will have to wait on him somehow. Later I was going to go the pick up our prescriptions while he rested. I fell in the driveway landing on my right knee and elbow then rolled with the fall, just like the football players so I wouldnt break any bones. There I lay for a while, flat of my back with a hard rain falling in my face. It took a while to decide that I could roll over, get on my knees, and pull up on my walker. There was no need to call Calvin for help, he is hard of hearing and wouldnt have been able to get me up without landing on top of me. I was soaked head to toe but not going to be outdone, I loaded my walker and went to the Pharmacy drive-thru. When I got home I had to change to dry clothes from underwear and all. Now a couple of hours later I am starting to feel sore places I didnt know I even hit. LOL This is just a day in the life of OLD PEOPLE.
