This has been, a heart breaking, to say the least, week in rescue here at Leave No Paws Behind, Inc.. We first met Popcorn, whos nose was separated from his face due to either a wire binding or some sort of blunt force trauma :-( Next was Brian, who is nothing but a skeleton, found emaciated, starving and near death. We suspect this boy may have been used as a stud and then tossed aside to wither and die when of no further value to the breeder. Last but not least, we met Bambi, who came to us a tad bit emaciated with no teeth and no lower jaw/mouth and we do not even want to try and guess why. All 3 have very similar commonalities where they have all been neglected, abused and left to die, and all 3 came from the same shelter. All 3 share the same amazing gift of forgiveness, compassion and unconditional love. Thanks to all of you, all 3 now share the gift of life and the promise of tomorrow. All 3 today know they are safe and protected from all harm, they know they are loved and most importantly, they all know that their life matters. All 3 are a harsh reminder of what animal abuse looks like and what rescue is truly all about right here at LNPB.
