This has been a rough week for us rockers. Bobby Keys and Ian - TopicsExpress

This has been a rough week for us rockers. Bobby Keys and Ian McLagan were both seminal figures in the development of music. The Small Faces were so important to me as a teenage musician. They ushered in the psychedelic sound in London in the mid-60s. Their simply is no moment more radical than the flanger on Itchycoo Park, which was executed by producer Glyn Johns, and that song forever changed the way we heard music. Of course Ian played with all kinds of great bands after the Faces, but Ill always remember him the way I first discovered him...keyboardist extraordinaire...The debut album in the US was aptly titled: There Are But Four Small Faces.
