This has been an interesting day. My dear friend, Patti, and I along with some other friends, were very much reminded today of the hatred and bigotry in the world toward America, as well as the good old fashioned ignorance that exists and is constantly being fed by the media, etc. I am thankful that I know folks in other parts of the world who have been happy to listen, learn and in turn share with me about their countries and lives. Otherwise, one might be tempted to think Facebook trolls, poop stirrers and keyboard warriors were the norm for certain nations. Theyre not. I personally want to thank all my friends from my own great land and those from all over the globe that wished me a Happy Independence Day. Every greeting was sincerely appreciated. I love my country. In spite of some things I may not like happening right now, I am and will always be proud that Im American. My direct ancestors fought for the freedom of this nation from foreign rule. Ill never forget. Liberty must be constantly maintained and fought for. Every day is Independence Day!!
