This has been such a long flight. Got in the plane in Newark at 5:10 this morning. Got into Houston at 8:20 (9:20ET) Dont you know the gate that we were supposed to connect with is all the way across the airport? I take the train from C to B, go upstairs, downstairs, down very long hallways trying to make my flight that is scheduled to board only 12 minutes after I land. Make it all the way down to gate B 28 ( which for some reason was actually beyond gate B 31). Get to them finally after doing some very difficult OJ Simpson jumps over strollers, luggage, and dodging the guy in the oversized golfcart that was cutting me off at every turn, just to find out that the flight is delayed. AGAIN! So this not very friendly gatekeeper tells me that she doesnt know how long it will be. Could be 5 minutes, maybe an1 hour and by the way, there is no place to sit down here or rest rooms. I havent even had a cup of coffee yet! I did ask for one on the last plane but they forgot to bring it to me. So I go back upstairs, get a bottle of water and zip back down stairs. Guess what? As soon as I manage to sit my old butt on the concrete floor; they announce that the gate has changed. Now we get to rewalk all the way back upstairs to gate B7. STILL DELAYED. I have been trying to get to San Antonio since my first flight that was supposed to leave last night at 4:53 PM from Binghamton was delayed and had to spend the night in Newark.
