This has been the longest day it seems. This morning was so great and he has had more moments where he has awakened throughout the day and talked to us, but he can hardly open or hold his eyes open. He is so close to being back with me, I know it. He can talk to me in short spurts and makes sense most of the time, even with his eyes closed, but he nods off so easy. At times he will flutter them open like he is trying so hard! I begged him tonight, told him that I missed him so much, to please wake up all the way, he struggled to open them as wide as he could and said, Im in here, I am trying so hard, I am just so tired, but I am trying to wake up for you. He ate about 2/3 of his supper tonight because I told him that it would help him wake up. He chewed, swallowed, all with his eyes closed. He sang along with me tonight, even making a request, ha! The prayers of the righteous have already availed so much! I ask that you dont grow weary in your prayers. Pray specifically for 2 things: 1. He continues to be calm, free from the panic and anxiety he experienced earlier. God give him peace. The restraints are still on his wrists just in case, but they arent tied down. Pray we dont need them again. 2. He becomes more alert and opens his eyes! He remembers things and he is aware-fully aware! Complete restoration of his mind-nothing less! I miss him so much my heart hurts. Thank you all for your prayers and encouragement. You have no idea how much it means to us.
