This has just been brought to my attention- People have been receiving letters saying their vote was invalid which seems strange as many are saying they did not postal vote, they voted at booths and had name marked off etc...others are saying they have got fines for not voting even though they did vote. Something weird going on here I think. This was just sent to news pages and will be interesting to hear of any follow up. This is worth investigating! Good day to you, I am writing to bring your attention to an alarming occurrence that has been affecting vast numbers of people of the Australian community. It seems that the AEC has been sending out hundreds of letters to the people of the community stating that their votes were invalid and some have even been fined for not voting when they clearly did. Surely this could be investigated further. It smells of rats. Here is a link to a fb page that has an alarming number of people stating they have received these letters quite recently. https://facebook/permalink.php... My first question is that how would the govt know any particular someones vote was invalid when our votes are anonymous? Why are some told they werent enrolled to vote when they clearly were enrolled to vote as they had their names crossed off the register? Some have been told that their postal votes werent witnessed of which they clearly were witnessed - some even by JPs! I am also forwarding this to 60 minutes, ABC, 7:30 Report, SBS, Today Tonight, A Current Affair, 10 News. Unfortunately in light of the enormous amount of letters it seems there are some serious questions that need to be answered. Kind regards Danielle Taferner
