This has me confused, and frankly, a bit irked. I have always known Cenk Uygur was quite centrist, and I like the fact that he can often provide a more neutral perspective, and I think he has done some really positive things, but is anybody ever REALLY neutral? No. Some people are pretty close to brain dead politically, but anybody who knows anything about politics has a non-neutral perspective of some sort. I am a centrist, but I will gladly admit that I am left of center, and I support Liberal objectives and Liberal ideals. Here, in this new trailer for Uygurs new film, Uygur seems to be saying (out one side of his mouth) that he is a truth teller, providing a neutral perspective, but then everything else he is saying out the other side of his mouth just sounds incredibly anti-Democrat, anti-Obama, anti-government. I dont believe in saying someone is doing right when they are really doing wrong, Cenk, but I also dont believe in saying they are doing a poor job if that is not really true! The Obama Administration has maintained a stellar record on pretty much every issue. I get the strong sense that Uygur and many other OWS people are often focusing their blame in the wrong direction and criticizing the current administration just for the purpose of rallying their own base and promoting their own movement for their own agenda. That does not help our situation as a nation ultimately, because any time you direct yours and other peoples time, energy and resources in the wrong direction to solve a problem, it takes us that much farther away from getting to the real heart of the problem where we have the best hope of finding a solution. Come on Uygur. I know youre smarter than this!
